How to: Download Photos from Google+

Another day, another update.

Dave Cohen, a Google employee, has been leading the technical advance on Google+ Photos. It looks like he’s the right man for the job as we all now have the ability to download pictures off Google Plus. Some of you might instantly hate the idea of people being able to take your personal photos but don’t fear, there is the option to make your pictures non downloadable. I personally love the idea and judging by the comments from Vic Gundotra’s share of the update, so does everyone else!

Here is how to download photos from Google+ and also how to opt out of the feature:

Step 1

Navigate to the Photos tab on your Google+ profile.

Be careful where you click this if you have "suggestive" contacts in your circles.

Step 2

Look towards the left side of the page and decide whether you want to download photos from your own albums or from other people’s circles (which you will already be looking at).

How to Opt Out of People Downloading Your Google+ Photos

If you don’t like the idea of people downloading your Google Plus pics then an option has been included to disable this. Follow the steps to do so:

Step 1

Navigate to the gear icon in the top right corner of your profile and click Google+ settings.

How do I download the entire album? It is a step back from picasa web albums. Nobody uploads one photo any more and it is more likely that the albums are 50-100 pictures in size. Downloading them individually is not a practical option.

I agree, there needs to be a way of downloading multiple photos as once. One cannot be expected to do this pic by pic.
